Dr Solomon does not perform hip arthroscopy.
If he feels it is indicated he will refer you to an appropriate hip arthroscopy specialist. It is important to note that hip arthroscopy may be beneficial in patients who have isolated labral tears and cam or pincer impingement with NO hip arthritis. Once you have established hip arthritis, hip arthroscopy will not work and may make your pain worse. Young patients with hip dysplasia should be considering a peri-acetabular osteotomy to correct the dysplasia. Hip arthroscopy with established dysplasia may cause significant instability and deterioration.
